Cucumber Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 large cucumbers, peeled
    6 green sweet peppers, stems and seeds removed
    4 tsp. celery seed
    4 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. ground cloves
    3 1/2 c. cider vinegar
    4 large onions
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. ground turmeric
    2 1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Put cucumbers, onions and green peppers through a food chopper, using a medium blade.
    In a 5 or 6-quart saucepan, combine vegetables, celery seed, mustard seed, salt, cloves, turmeric, vinegar and sugar.
    Quickly bring to boiling, stirring constantly.
    Reduce heat and simmer for about 3 hours, or until reduced to about 5 pints.
    Put into pint jars and seal.
    Process for about 15 minutes in hot water bath.
    Makes 5 pints.
