Empress Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    5 bay leaves
    35 whole allspice
    4 medium or 2 large onions, finely chopped
    1 toe garlic or 1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce *
    1/4 c. chili powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. red pepper
    2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 qt. water
Preparation
    Brown meat in a large, heavy pan.
    Combine bay leaves and allspice in a bag or piece of clean cheesecloth.
    Add with remaining ingredients to meat.
    Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
    Reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer over medium heat for 3 hours.
