30 Minute Apple Butter - cooking recipe
Ingredients

12 c. applesauce (made from tart apples)
9 c. sugar
1 c. cider vinegar
1 c. cinnamon red hearts
Preparation

Mix applesauce, sugar and vinegar; boil hard for 20 minutes. (May boil longer if you want thicker butter.)
Add candy hearts and cook 10 more minutes.
Stir and pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
Process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
Makes 5 pints.
