Ingredients

1 egg
1-10 oz can pizza sauce (1 1/4 c)
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
3 c corn flakes
2 lb lean ground beef
1/4 c finely chopped onion
1-4 oz can (2/3 c) mushroom stems and pieces (drained)
1-6 oz pkg (4 slices) natural mozzarella cheese
Preparation

Place egg, pizza sauce, salt, pepper and cornflakes in large mixing bowl, beat until all are combined.
Add ground beef, onion and mushrooms.
Mix together.
Press 1/2 of meat mixture in bottom of ungreased 9x9x2 pan.
Place 2 slices of mozzarella cheese over meat.
Press remaining meat mixture over cheese.
Bake in a 350 degree oven about one hour, or until meat begins to brown and shrink from sides of pan.
Cut remaining cheese in narrow strips and place over top of loaf.
Return to oven again for 3 minutes longer.
