Laura Osgood Bean'S Sourdough Starter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Pour milk into glass or ceramic bowl.
    Cover with cheesecloth. Let stand outdoors for 1 day.
    Stir in flour, re-cover and let stand outdoors for 2 days.
    Bring indoors to sunny spot; let stand until mixture bubbles and starts to sour.
    Spoon into quart jar with screw-top and store in refrigerator 1 day.
