Maypo Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. Maypo maple oat cereal
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. milk
2 Tbsp. melted shortening

Preparation

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl; break in egg.
Add milk and mix well.
Add shortening and place in greased 10 or 12-inch cake pan. Spread with topping made by creaming together 2 tablespoons soft butter, 4 tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 2 tablespoons flour.
Dot with chopped nutmeats.
Bake 25 minutes in oven at 350\u00b0.
Cut in squares to serve.
