Seafood Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. minced onion
    1/4 c. butter
    2 c. water
    1/2 c. white wine
    1/2 c. thinly sliced celery
    1 c. thinly sliced carrot
    1 c. diced potato
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    2 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    1 lb. haddock or cod fillets, diced
    3 c. milk
    1/4 c. flour
    1 c. half and half cream
    6 oz. flaked crab meat
    parsley
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter.
    Add water, wine, vegetables, seasonings and fish fillets.
    Simmer 20 minutes.
    Gradually add 1 cup milk to flour to make a thin paste.
    Add to hot mixture, stirring and cooking until thick.
    Gradually add rest of milk, half and half, crab meat and parsley.
    Heat thoroughly before serving.
