Pea Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice
    1/2 c. peas
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 small onion
    1/8 c. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Fry chopped onion in vegetable oil.
    Add cardamom while oil is still hot, then add peas.
    Stir it on medium heat for about 3 minutes, then add rice and 2 cups of water.
    Bring it to boil. Turn the heat down and let it cook until the rice is tender.
