V.I.P. Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn syrup
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. melted margarine
    1 c. pecans, halves or chopped
    1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Preparation
    Mix filling ingredients together, adding nuts last.
    Pour into unbaked shell.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes, then at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes longer.
    When pie is done, outer edge of filling is set and center is slightly soft.
    When cool, serve plain, or topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
