Pasta With Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. ditalini pasta
    1 or 2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. tomatoes, sieved (or canned crushed)
    1/8 tsp. oregano
    2 (16 oz.) cans peas, undrained
    salt and pepper to taste
    grated Parmesan cheese or Romano cheese
Preparation
    Heat oil in a large saucepan.
    Add onion and cook slowly until lightly browned.
    Add tomatoes, oregano, salt and pepper; simmer about 10 minutes.
    Add peas together with another 1 1/2 cans of water; simmer about 5 minutes.
    Toss this mixture with cooked pasta.
    Serve topped with grated cheese.
