Ingredients

4 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
butter
shortening
pinch of salt
Preparation

Separate eggs.
Put yolks in bowl; add milk and then flour, stirring as flour is added.
In separate bowl, beat egg whites with a pinch of salt until egg whites have peaks.
Fold into flour mixture.
Put small amount of butter and shortening in frying pan. When frying pan is hot, ladle in pancake mixture.
Turn pancake when edges begin to brown.
Serve with jam, applesauce or fruit compote.
