German Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. butter flavor
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. German sweet chocolate
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs, flavors and buttermilk. Sift together flour, soda and salt.
    Mix well.
    Add German chocolate that has been softened.
    Blend together well.
    Cook in a 9-inch stem pan, that has been well greased and dusted with flour, about 1 1/2 hours at 300\u00b0.
    Remove cake from pan while still hot and place under tight-fitting cake cover; leave covered until cold.
