Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation
    Sift first four ingredients together.
    Cream butter or margarine with sugar.
    Blend in egg, milk and flavorings.
    Blend into dry ingredients.
    Chill in refrigerator overnight or for 2 hours.
    Roll chilled dough 1/8-inch thick on floured board.
    Cut into desired shapes with floured cookie cutters.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 to 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
