Supper Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 tsp. grated onion (optional)
    1 c. cooked chicken or other meat, cut in strips
    6 ripe olives
    3 ripe tomatoes, wedged
    1 c. Swiss cheese, cut in strips
    1/4 c. chopped dill pickle
    2 c. hot cooked rice
    1 c. cooked green peas
Preparation
    Prepare rice as directed.
    Mix together the salt, mayonnaise and pepper.
    If you like, add 1 teaspoon grated onion to this mixture.
    Add chicken, Swiss cheese, pickle and hot rice.
    It is important that the rice be hot.
    Add peas; mix gently.
    Cover and chill about 1 hour, or for a very different flavor, serve at room temperature.
    Serve on salad greens garnished with tomatoes and olive wedges.
    Serves 6 to 7.
