Fruit Cocktail Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 beaten egg
    2 c. well drained fruit cocktail
    brown sugar
    chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients (except brown sugar).
    Add beaten egg and mix until it has a fine, crumblike texture.
    Add fruit cocktail; mix thoroughly.
    Pour into large 10-inch buttered pie pan.
    Sprinkle with brown sugar and walnuts to taste.
    Bake for 1 hour at 300\u00b0.
    Serve topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
