Filling For Lane Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 egg yolks
1 heaping c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. raisins
1 c. coconut
1 lb. English walnuts or pecans
1 small glass grape juice
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Chop or grind raisins, coconut and nuts; set aside.
Beat egg yolks; stir in sugar and butter.
Cook over double boiler until thick, stirring constantly.
When done and still hot, put in rest of ingredients.
Spread layers and on top and sides.
Let set until cool or cold.
Cover with white icing.
