Mint Meringues - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. lemon juice
    3/4 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    6 oz. pkg. Nestle's mint chocolate bits
    green food coloring
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Mix salt and cream of tartar and add to sugar then add this gradually to egg whites.
    Add vanilla and lemon juice then fold in the chocolate bits.
    Add 4 to 5 drops of green food coloring.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheets.
    Put in oven.
    Turn off heat. Leave in oven 8 hours.
    Take out and serve.
