Shirley Peltier'S Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    16 oz. Swanson's chicken broth (can use chicken bouillon and 2 c. water)
    8 oz. cream cheese
    1 c. milk
    2 to 3 stalks broccoli (can use 2 stalks broccoli, some cauliflower and 1 chopped carrot)
Preparation
    Cook onion in margarine.
    Add chicken broth and heat.
    Break up cheese and stir in until melted.
    Add milk.
    Cook vegetables until barely tender in a little water.
    Add to cream cheese mixture, water and all.
    If it is too thick, add a little water or milk.
    If it is too thin, mix cornstarch and water and add to soup.
