Plum Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. sweet butter
    1 c. flour, sifted
    1 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    2 eggs
    24 halves pitted purple plums
    topping (sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon)
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter. Add flour, baking powder, salt and eggs.
    Spoon batter into 9-inch spring-form pan.
    Place plum halves, skin side up, on top of batter.
    Sprinkle lightly with sugar and lemon juice. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
