Shoo-Fly Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1/8 tsp. cloves
    1/8 tsp. ginger
    2/3 c. brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1/3 c. dark molasses
    1 egg yolk
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Combine flour, salt and spices.
    Add sugar.
    Blend in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Combine molasses and egg yolk in bowl.
    Add soda and boiling water, blend well.
    Alternate filling uncooked pie shell beginning and ending with crumbs.
