Boiled Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    6 eggs, separated
    dash of salt
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 gal. milk
Preparation
    Separate eggs.
    Add yolks, sugar and milk.
    Bring to a boil. Stir constantly.
    Remove from stove and add vanilla and egg whites.
    Cool in refrigerator.
