Pumpkin Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    gingersnaps (1/2 box), crushed
    1/3 c. butter, melted
    1 lb. pumpkin
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    dash of salt (optional)
    1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream, softened
Preparation
    Mix 1/3 cup melted butter with crushed gingersnaps and press into a 13 x 9-inch dish.
    Mix pumpkin, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and salt; add softened ice cream.
    Pour over gingersnap crust.
    Cover and freeze.
    Cut in squares to serve.
