Taco Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. cream cheese
    1 c. sour cream
    1/2 pkg. taco seasoning
    finely chopped lettuce
    finely chopped tomatoes
    finely grated cheese (can use Cheddar or Monterey Jack)
    finely chopped onion (optional)
    1/2 lb. ground beef, browned (optional)
    tortilla chips
Preparation
    Chill a pie plate.
    Let cream cheese reach room temperature to soften.
    Blend cream cheese and sour cream.
    Add taco seasoning and mix well.
    Pour mixture into the chilled pie plate.
    Keep in refrigerator until ready to serve.
    Just before serving, top dip mixture with shredded lettuce, beef, onions, tomatoes and cheeses, layering each.
    Serve with tortilla chips.
