Marinated Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. fresh carrots
    1 large green pepper, sliced
    1 can tomato soup, diluted
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1 tsp. salt
    1 large onion, sliced into rings
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook sliced carrots until tender; drain.
    Combine soup, sugar, salad oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
    Bring to a boil; stir to dissolve sugar.
    Pour hot mixture over carrots, green pepper and onion rings.
    Chill overnight.
