Raw Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 pt. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 c. salt
    8 grated carrots
    12 chopped onions
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 grated head cabbage
    8 chopped sweet peppers
Preparation
    Mix vinegar, sugar, celery seed, mustard seed and salt, stirring occasionally.
    Mix the rest in the vinegar mixture.
    Let stand 3 or 4 hours.
