Mildred'S Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 c. sweet milk
    1/2 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 can creamed corn
    1/2 c. bacon drippings
Preparation
    Mix together and set aside; brown 1 1/2 pounds ground meat and drain.
    Chop 1 large onion and 1 jalapeno pepper.
    Grate 1/2 pound cheese or use sliced cheese.
    Pour 1/2 batter, spread grated cheese, spread ground meat, spread onions/peppers and top with remaining batter in large skillet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
