Ingredients

1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. oat bran
2 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
dash of salt
3 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. butter
Preparation

In a large bowl, stir together flour, oats and oat bran.
Add baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In another bowl ,whisk the eggs with the buttermilk just until blended.
Pour mixture over the oat-flour mixture.
Melt 1/4 cup butter.
Add to batter.
Pour some of the batter onto preheated lightly greased waffle iron. Bake waffles until crisp and golden, about 3 minutes on each side. Repeat with remaining batter.
Serve waffles with honey, jam or fruit or berries.
