Ingredients

2 cans beets, diced or quartered
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. vinegar (cider vinegar)
Preparation

Boil sugar, vinegar and cornstarch together for 5 minutes. Add beets and let stand 1/2 hour or more.
Before serving, heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter.
