Potato Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 sq. chocolate, melted
1/2 c. milk
2 1/2 c. flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
2 c. sugar
1 c. mashed potatoes, cooled
1 c. nuts
4 eggs, separated
1 tsp. each: cloves, nutmeg, allspice and cinnamon
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add chocolate, potatoes and lightly beaten egg yolks.
Cream thoroughly.
Add milk, alternately with dry ingredients, then add nuts.
Last, fold in gently the beaten egg whites.
Pour into 3 prepared round cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
For a moist cake, place pan of water in oven while cake is baking.
Use cake filling sprinkled with nuts between cooled layers and frosting to cover all.
