Dee'S Carrot Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted flour (all-purpose)
    2 c. sugar
    1 oz. sweet German chocolate, grated
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained (save juice)
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. raw carrots, grated
    1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped (optional)
    1/2 bag coconut (optional)
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar, chocolate, cinnamon, baking soda, salt and baking powder.
    Add pineapple syrup, eggs, oil and vanilla. Mix well at medium speed for 3 minutes.
    Add pineapple, carrots, pecans and coconut, if desired.
    Pour batter into buttered and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 75 to 90 minutes.
    Cool for 10 minutes.
    Frost with a cream cheese frosting.
