Kaylene'S Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 large onion
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    6 to 7 potatoes, chopped into small chunks
    1 1/2 c. corn or peas (optional)
    spices and fresh herbs
    4 c. milk (about)
Preparation
    Saute the onion in margarine until tender.
    Add the chopped potatoes.
    Pour enough water just to cover.
    Cook on medium heat until potatoes are soft.
