Ingredients

2 Tbsp. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (13 3/4 oz.) can pineapple tidbits or chunks
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. oleo
1 (16 oz.) can sliced beets, drained
Preparation

Combine brown sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan.
Stir in pineapple (with syrup).
Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and bubbles.
Add lemon juice, oleo and beets.
Cook over medium heat until heated thoroughly.
Yields 4 to 6 servings.
