Nut Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) box light brown sugar
    1 1/4 sticks butter or margarine
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 1/4 c. flour
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cook butter and sugar on low heat until sugar is dissolved. Cool.
    When cool, add eggs, vanilla and salt.
    Mix thoroughly. Add flour and baking powder; then add the nuts.
    Place in a well buttered 16 x 8-inch pan.
    Bake for 30 minutes at 300\u00b0.
    Leave in pan to cool, then cut.
