Herb Baked Scallops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. fresh sea scallops
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine
    3 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    1 1/2 tsp. leaf basil, crumbled
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Wash scallops in cold water; drain thoroughly between sheets of paper toweling.
    Place in a single layer in a large shallow baking dish; dot with butter or margarine.
    Sprinkle with parsley, basil, salt and pepper.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 5 minutes.
    Stir scallops to coat well with butter mixture.
    Bake 20 minutes longer or until tender.
    Serve buttery sauce from dish over mashed or baked potatoes, if you wish.
