Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 peppers
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. chopped onion
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. oregano (optional)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese
    2 (10 oz.) cans condensed tomato soup
    1 1/2 c. cooked rice
Preparation
    Cook ground beef and onion until brown.
    Add seasoning and soup.
    Simmer 15 minutes, covered.
    Add cheese, stir until melted. Add rice and let cool.
    Cook peppers in boiling water 3 minutes. Cool in ice water.
    Stuff and freeze.
    If peppers are large, split in half.
