Cheeseburger Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 (5 oz.) pkg. instant mashed potato flakes (2 1/4 c.), divided
1 egg
1/4 c. ketchup
1 Tbsp. dried onion flakes
1 1/2 tsp. salt, divided
6 slices American cheese, divided
1 c. hot water
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

Combine ground beef, 1 1/3 cups instant mashed potato flakes, 1 cup milk, egg, ketchup, onion, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.
Spread into 9-inch pie plate.
Cook at Medium-high 6 /12 to 7 1/2 minutes; drain.
Arrange 2 slices cheese on top.
Let stand, loosely covered, 7 minutes.
Meanwhile, in medium glass bowl, combine water, butter, remaining milk, salt and pepper. Cook at Medium-high 5 to 6 minutes.
Add remaining instant mashed potato flakes and cheese, diced and stir until potatoes are fluffy.
Spread over \"cheeseburger\".
Cook at Medium-high 2 to 3 minutes or until heated through.
