Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 tsp. soda
    4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 lb. soft butter or oleo
    2 c. granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
    Combine in large mixing bowl butter, sugar, eggs and flavoring.
    Cream for 2 minutes with mixer.
    Add milk, then flour mixture gradually, beating until blended (about 3 minutes).
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0. Roll dough on slightly floured surface 1/8 to 1/4-inch thick; cut. Bake about 12 minutes.
