Southern Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted buttermilk corn meal
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. whole milk
1 small egg
1/2 c. water
1 tbsp. fat
Preparation

Sift corn meal, baking powder and salt together in mixing bowl.
Add milk to dry ingredients.
Add egg and beat well.
Add water to make a medium thick batter.
Grease skillet with fat, pour batter in and bake at 450 degrees for 25 minutes.
