Onion Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 to 8 large onions, thinly sliced
1 stick butter
1/2 tsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
salt and pepper to taste
2 qt. chicken or beef stock
1 c. wine
toasted French bread
grated Swiss cheese
Preparation

Cook onions in butter until soft.
Add sugar, flour, salt and pepper; blend well.
Cook 2 to 3 minutes.
Add stock gradually, stirring well.
Cook for 30 minutes.
Add wine.
Pour over toasted French bread.
Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
