Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. water
    1/3 c. butter
    1 2/3 Tbsp. white vinegar
    2 qt. popcorn
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Cook in a heavy pan until amber colored.
    Do not stir.
    Pour over 2 quarts popcorn and peanuts (which is in a large buttered bowl).
    Stir until all coated.
    Spread on a cookie sheet until cool.
    Break apart.
