Lemon Meringue Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, separated
    1 egg
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/3 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 eggs, separated
    1 c. water
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cream 1/4 cup butter; gradually add 1/2 cup sugar, beating at medium speed.
    Add 2 egg yolks and 1 egg to creamed mixture; mix well.
    Combine 1 cup flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
    Mix after each addition.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Pour batter into greased and floured 9-inch round cake pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 28 to 30 minutes or until wooden pick comes out clean.
    Cool in pan 10 minutes.
    Remove from pan; cool completely.
