Sour Cream Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter (not margarine)
    3 c. sugar
    6 eggs, separated
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. lemon or almond extract
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 pt. sour cream
    3 c. cake flour (measure, sift once, then measure again and sift twice)
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar thoroughly. Beat in egg yolks, one at a time.
    Add flavorings.
    Add soda to flour.
    Alternately add flour and sour cream to creamed mixture.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and carefully fold into mixture.
    Pour into a greased and floured tube pan and bake in a preheated oven at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    It should have a nice brown crust. Turn cake out immediately upon taking it from the oven.
