Chicken With Snow Peas(Serves 4) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. peanut oil
    1 lb. boneless chicken, cut in thin strips
    1 bunch green spring onions, cut in 1-inch pieces
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. McKenzie's frozen pea pods
    1 (8 oz.) can bamboo shoots, drained
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch, dissolved in 2 Tbsp. water
    4 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 Tbsp. cooking sherry
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    1/8 tsp. ground ginger
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    CONVENTIONAL:
    In small cup, combine cornstarch, water, soy sauce, sherry, sugar and seasonings.
    In large frying pan, heat oil until very hot.
    Add chicken and green onion.
    Reduce heat.
    Cook, stirring occasionally, until chicken is white and done.
    Add vegetables and soy sauce mixture.
    Cook on simmer setting, stirring occasionally, until mixture has thickened.
    Pea pods should be hot, but still crisp.
    Serve over fluffy white rice.
