Old-Fashion Sweet Dough Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. Crisco
    1 block butter
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. baking powder
    4 c. flour
    2 tsp. vanilla flavor
Preparation
    Cream sugar, eggs, Crisco and butter until creamy.
    Add milk. Mix dry ingredients together.
    Add to mixture; mix well.
    Add more flour until dough is right to roll.
    Put in refrigerator and let it cool for 1 hour.
    Break dough in small pieces and roll flat. Add fruit filling; fold over and seal edges.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown, 25 to 30 minutes.
