Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1 stick butter
    5 large apples, pared and chopped
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Pare apples and cut in small pieces.
    Add 1 cup water to apples in baking dish.
    Combine sugar, flour, butter and vanilla. Sprinkle over apples.
    Bake in slow oven about 50 minutes or until juice bubbles around edge and topping is brown.
    Serve plain or with whipped cream.
