English Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. dry bread crumbs
    4 c. scalded milk
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Soak crumbs in milk; beat eggs.
    Add sugar, salt, nutmeg, vanilla and raisins.
    Mix with bread mixture.
    Pour into greased baking dish.
    Set in pan of hot water and bake for 1 hour in 350\u00b0 oven.
    Knife inserted must come out clean.
