Aunt Rosie'S Apple Cake - cooking recipe

8 to 10 apples, peeled, pared and chopped
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Peel, pare and chop apples.
Mix with 3/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
Beat eggs, sugar and shortening until light. Add flour, salt and powder.
Gradually add milk.
Add apple mixture and fold until mixed.
Pour into a 10 x 13-inch greased and floured pan.
Sprinkle with mixture of 3 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
