Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. almond flavoring
2 c. boiling water
1 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter
1 pt. cherries
Preparation

Mix 1
cup
sugar, milk, flour, baking powder, salt and butter; pour
in
buttered pan.
Pour
cherries over top.
Dot with pieces of
butter then pour over juice and enough boiling water to make 2 cups.
Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
