Mary Perryman'S Kraut Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    3 Tbsp. sweet milk
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. flour
    1 c. kraut
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Beat the egg until light.
    Add milk and mix.
    Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder.
    Mix dry and wet mixtures to form a heavy batter.
    Drop by spoonfuls into hot gravy made of kraut and water.
    Cook 15 minutes with lid on.
    Don't lift lid until done.
