Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening, softened
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix together thoroughly the shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; stir into shortening mixture. Chill dough. Roll into balls the size of small walnuts. Roll in a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon. Place about 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake until lightly browned, but still soft (8 to 10 minutes) in 400\u00b0 oven.
